Catholic Homeschooling Conference in Phoenix 2008!!! – Please consider attending a planning session for the conference this Friday 11/9/2007 at 6:30pm at Diocesan Center in Phoenix Room 166 in Phoenix. This is a fantastic opportunity for all of the SHHE members from different parts of the valley to meet with each other and work together!! For more information contact Clare

Upcoming Activities!!

Shhe Event – Holocaust survivor, M.H. will give a talk on November 15^th 6:30pm at the Franciscan Renewal Center in Scottsdale. Mrs. H. has written some books (including children's books) about her experiences, and these will be available for purchase (and signature) after her presentation. Due to the nature of the discussion please use discretion in bringing younger children.

Advent Retreat for Catholic Girls

Mom's Retreat – JANUARY 12^th, 2008 – Mark your calendars!  The retreat will be held at the Welter Retreat Center in Gilbert.

Factoring Seminar for High School Students – designed for Students who are enrolled in Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra II and Pre-calculus. This topic is covered in all levels of mathematics and differences and purposes for each level will be discussed. This seminar is also appropriate for parents who wish to master this concept to aid their children in homeschool classes or in a homework setting. 

WHEN:  Saturday December  8, 9:00 - 12:00

COST: 25.00 (SHHE members 20.00) Discounts for the Factoring Seminar:   For a paid student(s) one parent may attends for free. If you can sign up 4 other students from your network then your student attends for free.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:December 1, 2007 Email or call for flyer and registration form.

Music Class Openings - ABeka program of Music Theory with flutophone for young children (from 6ish - 7ish) that runs from October to May.   It's every Friday from 12 noon to about 12:45 p.m. Cost is $10 per student per week plus costs of workbook and flutophone.

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son Jesus Christ, in union with the most Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, said throughout the world today, for all the holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the Universal Church, those in my own home, and within my family.

**November is a special month to pray for souls in purgatory**
